NEW DELHI, August 30. The Indian lunar orbiter Chandrayaan-1 lost contact with the ground station of the Indian Space Research Organization on August,29.
«We can not establish contact with the spacecraft. We do not obtain the data, we can not give commands – said the official representative of the Indian edition of ISRO Press Trust. – In other words, the spacecraft was struck dumb. it’s numb.”
According to Infuture, 11 scientific instruments on board the orbital module operated in a normal mode, the spacecraft sent data to a ground station in accordance with the planned timetable, when suddenly the connection was interrupted.
Now, scientists analyze the data obtained in the hope of finding evidence that could affect the situation.
Chandrayaan-1 and lunar orbiter Research LRO (NASA) joined together on August 20, to implement the radar experiment, and despite the fact that while there have been no results, the experimental data was successfully sent to Earth.
